Jeremy served as an Army medic. During his combat deployment to Baghdad, two antitank grenades hit his vehicle, causing a significant concussion, later diagnosed as a traumatic brain injury, along with many shrapnel wounds that left him in chronic pain.
Jeremy next set his sights on a college degree. Sentinels of Freedom (SOF) helped him with financial and personal assistance throughout his college journey. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas, San Antonio. SOF continued to support Jeremy while he earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. SOF was also there for him through his board exams and up until he got a job as a physician assistant with Almouie Pediatrics.
Today, Jeremy lives in San Antonio with his wife, Katrina, and their four children. Jeremy characterizes his life now as a dream come true.
